Mohammad Reza Shah and Empress Farah – Candid Winter Portrait Canvas

This charming, candid portrait captures a rare and intimate moment between Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi and Empress Farah Pahlavi during a winter getaway. Set against a blurred, snowy mountainous backdrop—evocative of the popular ski resorts like Dizin or Shemshak they frequented—the image shows a relaxed side of the royal couple. The Empress, dressed in stylish knitwear and a feathered hat, joyfully examines a photograph while wearing a classic camera around her neck. Beside her, the Shah, dressed practically in a quilted winter jacket, looks on fondly, perfectly encapsulating their shared leisure time away from the rigid formalities of state duties.
